CITIZENSHIP IN ST. LUCIA

St. Lucia’s investment program was launched in 2015. Any person who has reached the age of 18 and financially dependent members of his family can become a participant.

You can participate in the program on the following bases:

• Make a non-refundable contribution to the National Economic Fund (NEF), the amount of which is determined on the basis of the number of persons materially dependent on the investor:
• USD 100,000 for the main applicant;
• USD 140,000 for the main applicant with his/her spouse;
• USD 150,000 for the principal applicant, spouse, and up to two dependent family members;
• USD 15,000 for each additional family member (if the principal applicant and spouse and up to two dependent family members are already included);
• USD 25,000 for each additional family member (if the principal applicant applies alone and wishes to add dependent family members).
• Invest in a government-approved property valued at more than USD 300,000. Such Real Estate must be in the possession of the investor for at least five years after obtaining citizenship.
• Invest a minimum of USD 3.5 million in an approved business project and create at least three permanent jobs.
• Buy government bonds worth at least USD 250,000.

Regardless of the method of participation in the program, the applicant must pay a stamp duty for due diligence and a state fee for processing the application.

It usually takes 3 to 4 months to process an application for citizenship. However, these terms are subject to adjustment depending on the choice of investment project.
