CITIZENSHIP IN ST. KITTS AND NEVIS

The main applicant for the Citizenship by Investment program:

• must be at least 18 years old;
• is required to undergo due diligence;
• has the right to include his or her spouse, unmarried children, and parents in the application.

The Citizenship by Investment program has minimum and maximum age requirements for close relatives. Children of the investor applying for citizenship must be under 30 years old, parents over 55. Both children and parents of the main applicant must be financially dependent on him/her.

To participate in the St. Kitts and Nevis program, you must:

• Invest in real estate. An investor can buy a government-approved facility worth at least USD 400,000. Such premises must remain the property of the applicant for the first five years from the date of purchase. Under the collective application, two independent investors can finance into a government-approved property. In this case, each of them must invest at least USD 200,000 (investments are maintained for 7 years). When choosing this method of obtaining citizenship, the applicant must pay the state duty:
• USD 35,000 for the main applicant;
• USD 20,000 for the principal applicant’s spouse;
• USD 10,000 for each dependent family member.
• Make a charitable contribution to the St. Kitts and Nevis Sustainable Development Fund (SGF). The minimum amount of the contribution depends on the number of relatives claiming citizenship:
• USD 150,000 for the main applicant;
• USD 25,000 for the spouse;
• USD 10,000 for each additional family member.

A decision on an application for citizenship is provided by the government within 3-4 months of the submission of the required package of documents.
